Selection Criteria for Rio 2016

There is a selection criteria for Para Athletics on the website of SASCOC.

SASAPD made use of the following criteria for selection:

Performance on Rio 2016 Paralympic Games - AQS equals  allocation ranking list

a) needs to be internationally classified

b) Needs to be internationally licensed

c) All performances from 15 Oct 2014 - 20  Jun 2016 are considered

Look at General trend for individuals over time (2015-2016)

Look at medal potential by looking at the results of WC 2015 and London 2012

SA Timeline - Recommendation - All results 15 Oct 2014 - 15 Jun 2016 to consider
