The Athletics committee want to thank all our regions for the good
and uplifting work they are doing for Athletics. A few matters for
urgent concern.
1. Regional trials
Regional trials are the platform where athletes must do there
utmost best to qualify for Nationals. The National Championships is a
prestige event and not the place for mass participation. We, the
Athletics Committee, want to present a smooth proper organized
Championships with well trained athletes. Regional trails are very
important to make qualification standards for the National
Championships.
2. Results of Regional Trials
All results of regional trials should be completed on the attached
format (Excel document under Important documentation: Regional Trials Results 2010) and send it directly to the National Convener and the National
Head Office of SASAPD. The results must reach us no later than two
weeks after competition. We will not allow any entries without the
results of trials. It often happens that athletes do not part take in
trails and want to practice on the National Championships. Those days
are over. We simply cannot afford it any longer.It is also very
convenient for regions to have all trial results at hand when team
selection takes place.

Regional Athletics Conveners are prompt to make use of the official Athletics website.

Lastly I want to thank all the regions once again who ask
questions and who study the rules and regulations. the aim of the
Athletics Committee is to run the Athletics of SASAPD at a world class
standard.
